The original power yoga, Ashtanga yoga is a dynamic practice that is both strengthening and meditative. This workshop will introduce you to the primary series of Ashtanga yoga and the Ashtanga yoga method, which emphasizes deep breathing, postural alignment, and a focused gaze. You will learn the fundamentals of Ashtanga yoga in a 15-minute overview followed by a 75-minute practice. Options will be provided throughout to tailor the intensity and poses to fit your personal practice.
Some experience and familiarity with yoga is recommended for this workshop. This workshop is wrist-intensive.
