Winter Solstice: Restorative Yoga & Acupressure

  • Tosa Yoga Center 6734 West North Avenue Wauwatosa, WI, 53213 United States (map)

Winter is nature’s way of telling us to slow down. Join Colleen and Megan just before the Winter Solstice for a Restorative Yoga and Acupressure workshop. Colleen, who has specialized training in Restorative Yoga, will lead you through a slow sequence of longer held supported floor postures, using props such as blankets, bolsters, and blocks. As you settle into these postures, Megan, who is also a licensed acupuncturist, will guide you through an acupressure protocol, in which you will use your fingers to apply pressure to certain points on the body.

Supported postures will be held from 10 to 30 minutes and at the very end you will be guided into an extended savasana that will last from 20 to 30 minutes.

Acupressure is a needle-free technique to stimulate specific acupuncture points on the body. The acupressure protocol will activate points along the body to support deeper relaxation and grounding to support the seasonal change.

This workshop is meant to act as a mini-hibernation experience. 😌 Each restorative posture is meant to slow down the body, breath, and mind and the acupressure protocol will enhance the relaxation experience.

$45/participant

(Each participant must register individually.)

Note: Registration ensures your space in a workshop. Because we set a cap for number of participants, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to attend, so we can open your space for someone else. Workshops are non-refundable if we are not contacted in advance. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
